The château

A thousand years of history

The lords of Embrun replace their wooden keep with a stone tower: today’s Boniface Tower.

Martin de la Vilette doubles the size of the château and gives it its Renaissance shape.

1876

Joseph Roman, a lawyer and member of the Institut de France, gives it much of its present-day look.

After a century of neglect, Jacques and Sharon spend four years restoring it. Today, it welcomes you.
