Your weekend

Take the time to live your wedding

A château wedding is more than one evening. On Friday, you settle in and set everything up without rushing. On Saturday, you say “I do” facing the mountains. On Sunday, you keep celebrating with the people who matter most.

For those three days, the château hosts no one but you. Your hosts, a small family team, take the time to get to know you and what you want, so that your wedding truly feels like yours.

Would you rather marry on a weekday? Let’s talk: the listed prices are then 10% lower.

Day by day

Your weekend, just as you imagine it

A sample schedule, to adapt as you wish.

  1. A vintage car decorated with flowers in front of the château

    Friday

    You settle in

    1. In the afternoon, you arrive. Once your hosts have welcomed you, the set-up and preparations begin.
    2. Guests staying at the château arrive in turn. A short guided tour of the château can be arranged for them if you wish.
    3. In the evening, dinner at a nearby restaurant (Chez Pierrot, Les Peupliers…) or a picnic on the forecourt, with pétanque and skittles.
  2. An outdoor wedding ceremony at the foot of one of the château's towers

    Saturday

    You say “I do”

    1. In the morning, breakfast at the château, hair and make-up, while the caterer sets up.
    2. Lunch at a nearby restaurant or a picnic, getting dressed, first look. Then the ceremony on the forecourt, if it takes place at the château, or a festive send-off to your ceremony venue.
    3. In the evening, drinks in the garden, then dinner and dancing in the vaulted hall until 3 am. The cake is shared on the forecourt at sunset.
  3. A buffet laid out on the forecourt, in front of the château

    Sunday

    You keep celebrating

    1. In the morning, breakfast at the château for those who stayed overnight.
    2. Or a brunch with all your guests, prepared by your caterer or by yourselves.
    3. At 1 pm, you leave, your heads full of memories.

The venues

Every moment has its setting

A ceremony on the forecourt, facing Lake Serre-Ponçon

01

The forecourt

You exchange your vows facing the mountains and the lake. And when evening falls, this is where you cut the cake, at sunset.

02

The formal French garden

Drinks are served among the box-edged flower beds, pools and fountains. Your guests stroll around, glass in hand.

03

The vaulted hall

Dinner, then the party, under the vaults. You dance until 3 am, and your loved ones only have the stairs to climb.

The drawing rooms and the chapel

The entrance hall, the Lions’ room, the music room, the painted chapel: a 19th-century backdrop for your most beautiful photos.

Your questions, our answers

Another question? Call us on +33 7 67 16 57 12.

When can you get married at the château?

In May, June, September and October (until mid-October), from Friday to Sunday. For a weekday wedding, get in touch: the listed prices are 10% lower. Either way, the château is rented for at least two nights.

How many guests can you host?

Up to 60 people, for everyone’s comfort in the château’s rooms. 25 of them can sleep on site, not counting babies in travel cots.

Can the ceremony take place at the château?

Yes, on the forecourt, facing the mountains. If you marry elsewhere, you leave the château in a festive procession, then come back for drinks in the garden.

Can you recommend suppliers?

Yes. We’re happy to share the list of suppliers we like. You remain free to choose your own.

What are the house rules?

The château is a listed historic monument. Our rule: “make yourselves at home, but respect the place”.

  • The inside is entirely non-smoking: please smoke outdoors, away from the doors, and pick up your cigarette ends.
  • No food or drink in the bedrooms and drawing rooms, whose furniture and rugs are fragile.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Children stay under the supervision of designated adults: the garden is fragile and the pools can be dangerous.
  • The professional kitchen is for the caterer and staff only; a small kitchen remains available to your guests.
  • The party ends at 3 am.
  • A deposit cheque is requested.

Memories

They said yes at the château

In spring under blossoming trees, in summer by the pools, in autumn under the reddened Virginia creeper.
